High-energy night of House, Bassline and Speed Garage from Pints & Playabouts Promotions at The Tunnel Club.
Under The Arches comes to The Tunnel Club on Saturday 5 December, with Pints & Playabouts Promotions taking over the venue for the night. It's a club night rather than a single act, so the focus is on the dancefloor and the music they're bringing to it.
They've billed it as a high-energy night of House, Bassline and Speed Garage. If you're not entirely sure where those sit, they're all cousins from the UK's dance music tradition. House is the steady, four-to-the-floor foundation; Bassline pushes that sound towards the heavier, low-end weight that's a staple of the Midlands scene; and Speed Garage brings the syncopated, skipping beats and deep basslines that give the whole thing its swing. Putting them together on one night means the set can move between the more melodic side of house and the heavier, bass-driven sound without much of a jump.

It's Pints & Playabouts Promotions running the show, and they're the ones taking over the venue for the evening. The night starts at 8pm, so it's an early one if you're planning to stay late, and the venue is The Tunnel Club, 27-28 Water Street, B3 1HL, right in the city centre. Tickets start from £9.62.
