Live gig by garage-rock trio The Bug Club at the Hare And Hounds in Kings Heath, for ages 14 and over.
The Bug Club play Hare And Hounds in Kings Heath on Wednesday 2 December, with the music starting at 19:30. It's a single-act bill, so they're the only name on the poster for the night.
They're a garage-rock trio from Caldicot, in Monmouthshire, Wales, and they've been at it since 2016. They didn't start out with the sound they're known for now; the early days were all about the blues, and it took a few years for that to shift into the contemporary indie rock they're playing these days. They're signed to Sub Pop now, and the current line-up is Sam Willmett and Tilly Harris. They describe their own sound as wall-to-wall riffs and non-stop feel-good rock 'n' roll, which gives you a fair idea of what to expect: plenty of guitar and a high-energy approach rather than anything subdued.
