Size-inclusive clothes swap where attendees bring clean clothing to earn tokens for new pieces from the rails at Alfresco, Alfred Works.
The Big Swap is coming to Alfresco at Alfred Works on Sunday 15 November, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. It's a size-inclusive clothes swap run by Alfred Works and hosted at the venue's Alfresco Sports Bar, built on the idea that style and sustainability should be for everyone.
The format is straightforward: you bring up to ten clean, good-condition items of clothing, and each one earns you a token. You then trade those tokens for new pieces from the rails. The first drop of stock opens at 1 pm, so if you're keen to get first pick, that's the time to be there. Anything left on the rails at the end of the day is donated to a local cause, so it's a double win: you clear out your wardrobe and get something new, and whatever doesn't find a home goes to a good cause.
Beyond the swap, there's plenty to do around the venue. Alfred Works has sixteen food partners on site across the whole space, so you can easily make a day of it and grab something to eat before or after you've traded your clothes. It's a good spot to hang out and browse the rails without feeling rushed.
