Beginner-friendly vase painting workshop led by artist Amelia Fox, with all materials included, at Craft & Culture.
Amelia Fox is leading a vase painting workshop at Craft & Culture on Friday 30 October, from 7:00pm. It's a two-hour session, and the starting point for everyone is the same: a blank ceramic vase. From there, you work with acrylics to build up colour and pattern, and since it's your own piece, you can take it in whatever direction you like. The timing puts it right in the run-up to Halloween, so a spooky twist fits the calendar, but it's entirely up to you whether you go that way or keep it simple. When the two hours are up, you take the vase home to keep or give as a handmade gift.
Fox is an artist who's regularly hosted art and craft workshops, and she's designed this one for beginners and experienced creatives alike. You don't need to have picked up a brush before to get something out of it, and if you're already comfortable with painting, it's a good excuse to spend a couple of hours focused on a single object. All the materials are included, so you just need to turn up.
