Hands-on sloe gin making workshop led by Carl, with foraging and infusion techniques, followed by a warm meal and a licensed bar.
Lar.Da is hosting a sloe gin workshop and dinner on Wednesday 2 December, run from 7 pm to 9.30 pm with doors open from 6.30 pm. The whole thing is led by Carl, who takes you through the tradition of making, bottling and ageing sloe gin using locally sourced sloe berries and quality spirits. It's a hands-on session, so you'll be doing the work yourself rather than just watching.
Carl covers the practical side of things: sustainable foraging practices, infusion techniques and the bottling secrets that make the difference. You'll start with a shot of pre-matured sloe gin to see where you're heading, then assemble your own batch to take home in a glass bottle. There's also a bit on how to craft a signature sloe gin cocktail, so you'll leave knowing how to serve it up as well as how to make it.
