A spooky night of psychobilly, bluesabilly, garage punk and rock 'n' roll with Thee Scarecrows, The McCurdy Brothers and Kings of Hong Kong, with DJs spinning trashy rock.
Thee Creature Club returns to The Night Owl on Saturday 24 October, a Halloween gathering of psychobilly, bluesabilly, garage punk and trashy rock 'n' roll. The night is presented by Rip It Up and Kings of Hong Kong, and it's a bit of a milestone for the latter: it marks the 10th anniversary of their Rock 'n' Rolla.
The bill brings together Thee Scarecrows, The McCurdy Brothers and Kings of Hong Kong, with Rip It Up! DJs spinning psychobilly, garage, punk, trash and rock 'n' roll throughout the night. The organisers describe it as the return of Thee Creature Club, a collaboration of 'all things trashy' that gathers creatures, creeps and rock 'n' roll reprobates from across the scene. It's a long one, too: doors open at 7:30pm, live music starts at 8pm, and the whole thing runs until 4am on Sunday morning.
Thee Scarecrows take the closing slot, described as fuzz-fuelled psychobilly maniacs who bring their trademark twin-drummer assault and masked harvest nightmare. The Night Owl bills the whole thing as a gloriously spooky Halloween gathering, and the early bird tickets include exclusive event merch.
