Live gig by Dublin rock trio Really Good Time at the Hare And Hounds in Kings Heath, for ages 14+.
Really Good Time play Hare And Hounds Kings Heath on Monday 19 October, from 19:30 to 22:30. They're a three-piece rock band from Dublin, and Steve Lamacq has described their sound as a mutant blend of Queens of the Stone Age and The Walkmen — that gives you a fair idea of the territory they're working in.
Over the last four years they've built a reputation for a relentless, ear-immolating, breakneck live show, so this is a night for the louder end of things rather than a quiet one. Their debut album, Affirmations, is a forty-something minute record that lurches from existential dread to petty anxiety, and that's the kind of ground they'll be covering on stage.

They've been touring independently across Ireland, the EU and the UK, playing festivals like SXSW, The Great Escape, Reeperbahn, Left of the Dial and the Iggy Pop-curated In The Meadows. Along the way they've supported Franz Ferdinand, The Scratch and Warmduscher, so they're no strangers to sharing a bill with bigger names. The night is for ages 14+, with under-16s accompanied by an adult. The gig runs from 19:30 to 22:30 at Hare And Hounds, 106 High Street, Kings Heath, Birmingham, B14 7JZ.
