Talk by physicist and science communicator Professor Brian Cox at the Moore Theatre in Birmingham.
Professor Brian Cox is coming to the Moore Theatre in Birmingham on Friday 15 January 2027. It's a solo talk, with Cox as the only name on the bill, so the whole evening is his to run.
If you've come across his name but aren't sure where he fits in, he's a physicist and a professor of particle physics at the University of Manchester. He's spent a good part of his career taking the complexities of the cosmos — the kind of stuff that usually stays tucked away in textbooks and research papers — and explaining it to a wide audience. That's essentially what he does here: he takes the big, often daunting ideas of the universe and puts them into words that make sense without needing a degree in physics to follow.
It's a talk, not a lecture, so it's more about the conversation than a formal presentation. He'll be on stage at the Moore Theatre, and the focus is entirely on him. If you've watched his documentaries or read his books, this is the live version of that — the same subject matter, the same way of breaking things down, but in a room with other people rather than on a screen.
