Full-day free event on financial wellbeing with keynotes, expert panels and practical workshops on wealth, property and careers.
Building Financial Futures returns to The Rep Theatre on Monday 2 November, a full-day event on financial resilience, wealth and long-term planning. It's presented by AND Capital Projects Limited in partnership with Birmingham City Council and the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS), and it's built around one central idea: helping people make better financial decisions today that strengthen their position tomorrow.
The day is structured so you can pick the sessions that actually matter to you rather than sitting through everything. It opens with the keynote Your Money, Your City, Your Future, followed by a discussion on What Does Financial Wellbeing Really Mean? and a session on AI and the New Skills Economy. There's also an interview, From Income to Ownership, and a series of interactive workshops covering financial resilience, personal wealth, business ownership, family and life events, property and careers. Between those, you'll find exhibitors and specialist financial zones, so you can talk directly with experts and organisations rather than just listening to them from a stage.
This is a city-wide event, and the mix of sessions reflects that. It's designed for individuals, families, business owners, financial professionals and community organisations, with the different workshops and zones covering the financial decisions people face at different stages of life. The 2026 edition expands on the previous year, with a broader range of keynotes, expert panels and practical workshops than before. The aim is for you to leave with practical actions you can actually use, rather than just more financial information to think about.
