Poetry paint and play

Poetry paint and play is coming to RPM Analogue Audio Ltd on Monday 2 November, running from 6 pm to 8 pm. It's an in-person session that brings together poetry, painting and live music in one room, rather than keeping them as separate things you'd usually find on different nights.

The session is organised by Powered by CAN, and the whole point is to have those three things happening together. You'll have poetry to listen to, painting to do, and live music playing throughout. It's not a performance you just sit and watch; it's a session you take part in, so you'll be painting while the music and poetry go on around you.

If you're not used to the idea, it's pretty straightforward: you get to paint, you get to hear poetry, and you get live music as the backdrop. The three run alongside each other, so you're doing one while the others are happening. It's a two-hour window, from 6 pm to 8 pm, which gives you plenty of time to settle in and get stuck into the painting without having to rush through it.

It all takes place at RPM Analogue Audio Ltd, at 181 Smethwick, Birmingham B66 4AA, in the West Midlands. The session runs from 6 pm to 8 pm on Monday 2 November.
