Oktoberfest celebration with steins, traditional German food, a live 5-piece Oompah band and a Bavarian DJ.
Oktoberfest comes to GASWRX in Digbeth on Saturday 17 October, bringing a bit of Bavaria to the middle of Birmingham. It's a dedicated Oktoberfest celebration, so the whole thing is built around the things that make the festival what it is: steins of beer and traditional German food.
On the music side, there's a live five-piece Oompah band to provide the soundtrack, and a Bavarian DJ to keep things moving. Between the two, you've got the brassy, folk-driven sound that usually defines the occasion, with the band playing live and the DJ filling in the gaps. It's a straightforward setup—beer, food, and Oompah music—rather than a wider festival with multiple stages or a long line-up of different acts.

GASWRX is over in Digbeth, at 50 Adderley Street, B9 4ED. The event runs from 17:30 to 22:00, so it's an early-evening one that wraps up by ten, which is handy if you're planning to be back home or elsewhere on a Saturday night. Tickets start from ÂŁ26.40, and the whole thing fits into a single session rather than stretching across the whole weekend.
