Ocean Colour Scene play their Moseley Shoals 30th Anniversary Tour, with special guests The Enemy and Dirty Circus, at bp pulse LIVE.
Ocean Colour Scene play bp pulse LIVE on Saturday 12 December, as part of their Moseley Shoals 30th Anniversary tour. The night is a double bill, with The Enemy and Dirty Circus on as special guests.
The tour marks thirty years since Moseley Shoals, the band's second album, which came out in April 1996 at the height of Britpop. It reached number two on the UK Albums Chart, went triple-platinum and spent 92 weeks there, and gave us 'The Riverboat Song', 'You've Got It Bad', 'The Day We Caught The Train' and 'The Circle'. That same year, Oasis invited them to be their special guests at Knebworth, where they played before 125,000 people.
Formed in Birmingham in 1989, the band followed Moseley Shoals with three more Top 10 albums: Marchin' Already (1997), One From The Modern (1999) and Mechanical Drift (2001), and they've put out seventeen Top 40 singles over the years. Alongside the highlights from Moseley Shoals, they'll play a career-spanning set of hits and fan favourites. There's a family feel to the line-up, too: drummer Oscar Harrison's son Leon is on percussion, and guitarist Steve Cradock's son Cass is on keys and guitar.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Birmingham and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

Support comes from The Enemy, who formed in Coventry in 2006. Their lead singer Tom Clarke has named 'The Day We Caught The Train' as the first song he ever learned to play, so there's a bit of a full-circle moment there. The show starts at 7:30 pm, with doors opening at 6:00 pm.
