Charity netball show raising money for Shelter, with celebrities and influencers on court.
Netball Aid is back at Utilita Arena Birmingham on Sunday 15 November, with the whole thing running from 12:00 PM and lasting around five hours. It's a charity netball show that pits celebrities, influencers and reality TV stars head-to-head on the court, and this year it's raising money for Shelter.
If you're wondering how it works, the format is a high-energy sporting mash-up with those big names going up against each other in front of a live crowd. There's also a bit of a competitive edge to it: they've set their sights on breaking netball world records during the show, so it's not just a friendly kickabout. The occasion also marks 100 years of netball, so it's a bit of a centenary celebration as well.
It's a new charity mission for the event, too. Last year it raised £40,000 for Children in Need, and this time around the money goes to Shelter, the housing charity. So while the celebrities are the ones on court, the point of the day is the fundraising.

On the practical side, it's a Sunday afternoon slot, starting at 12:00 PM and running for about five hours, so you'll want to clear a good chunk of your day for it. If you're bringing younger ones, there are a couple of things to keep in mind: under-14s have to be accompanied by an adult (18+) into the venue, and they aren't allowed on the standing floor. With that sorted, it's a long afternoon of netball for a good cause, right here in the city.
