Indie legends Mighty Mighty make their first Birmingham city centre appearance since 1988, joined by local acts Pylon and Frankling.
Mighty Mighty are playing The Victoria on Wednesday 28th November, their first Birmingham city centre appearance since 1988. They're the main feature of the night, and it's been nearly four decades since they last played a gig this close to the middle of town.
They aren't coming on their own. Two local acts, Frankling and Pylons, are on the bill as special guests, so there's more than one band to hear before the headliners take over. It's a full night of music rather than just a single set.
If you're wondering about the gap, it's a long one. The last time Mighty Mighty played in the city centre was back in 1988, so this is their first return to the heart of Birmingham in thirty-eight years. That's a fair while to wait for a city centre date, and it puts the occasion in perspective: for many, this is the first time they'll have seen them play here since the eighties.
