Monthly peer-support walk and talk for men to discuss mental health and other themes in a judgement-free space around St Paul's Square.
The Men's Prosperity Club are back with their next Walk and Talk at Saint Paul's House on Thursday 22 October, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. It's part of their monthly gathering, which runs every fourth Thursday of the month, so if you can't make this one, there'll be another a few weeks later.
The format is simple: the session opens with a brief introduction, and then everyone sets out on a gentle walk around the historic St Paul's Square. The idea is that conversation tends to flow more naturally when you're moving rather than sitting in a room, and that's exactly what this is built for. Each month or season centres on a theme—things like mental health, relationships, finance, health and fitness, or faith and spirituality—so there's usually a starting point to get the talking going.
Behind it is the Men's Prosperity Club, a Birmingham men's mental health support group built around peer support, personal growth and community connection. They work alongside Samaritans to keep it a safe space for men to discuss challenging topics, and the whole thing is open to all men, regardless of age or background. The aim is to challenge the stigma around men's mental health and build a community grounded in empathy, offering a judgement-free environment for anyone experiencing anxiety or social anxiety. It's not just here in the city, either—they run regional groups across the Midlands, including Worcestershire, and a Sport Social (Pickleball) in Stourbridge.
