The band perform classic cover songs from rock, indie and hip-hop across the night.
Killerstream and The Weekend Anthems Band are playing Joe Joe Jims in Birmingham on Saturday 14 November, from 8:00pm to 10:30pm. It's a covers night, and the set is built around dancefloor fillers, so the whole thing is aimed at getting people up and moving rather than sitting back.
The repertoire they pull from is wide. On one end, you've got the older classics: Jackie Wilson, Duran Duran, Kool and the Gang, and David Bowie. On the other, more recent hits from Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake, Kings of Leon, and The Killers. And then there's the real stretch, with Guns N' Roses and Ed Sheeran sitting alongside Andy Williams. It's a broad mix of rock, indie and hip-hop, and the band describes their approach as mixing those influences to give the material a fresh, up-to-date edge.
Because they're working with covers, the set is less about a single sound and more about the range they cover in one night. You'll hear soul and funk from the likes of Jackie Wilson and Kool and the Gang, 80s pop from Duran Duran and Bowie, and indie-rock from The Killers and Kings of Leon, with the more recent stuff from Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran mixed in. It's a long way from Andy Williams to Guns N' Roses, and that's exactly the kind of ground they're planning to cover.

Tickets are £15 online plus fees, or £18 on the door, which is subject to capacity. The set runs from 8:00pm to 10:30pm at Joe Joe Jims (B45 8UU), so it's a late-night one that keeps going well into the evening.
