Weekly Monday night of Reggae and Dancehall, Jam Jah Mondays, marks its 25th anniversary with a dancehall single launch by YT.
Jam Jah Mondays is back at The Station Pub on Monday 19 October, and this one has a specific reason for the party: YT is launching the new single Dancehall Cassette. It's a dancehall session built around that release, so you'll hear the new track right where it belongs.
If you're not familiar with the night, it's worth knowing what it is. Jam Jah Mondays has run every Monday since 2001, and it bills itself as the longest-lasting weekly Reggae and Dancehall Soundsystem Culture event in Europe. It's run by Jam Jah Sound, and they bring in special guests from near and far to keep the rotation fresh. The night is streamed live on Mixcloud, Rex Radio and Genesis Radio 101.2FM, so it reaches well beyond the room itself. Ital food is served all night, and the room is regularly supported by Roots collectives like ONE NATION.
This year is a bit of a milestone for the sound: 2026 marks its 25th anniversary, and the 96th anniversary of Sleassie's Coronation. So when you're there, you're stepping into a long-running tradition rather than a one-off night. The session kicks off at 22:00 and runs until 01:00 on Tuesday morning, with YT's Dancehall Cassette launch as the main feature.
