Stand-up show marking 40 years in comedy, in which Jack Dee recites the best of his favourite old stories.
Jack Dee is playing The House at the Birmingham Rep on Sunday 21 February 2027, with Jack's Joke Show as the title. It's a stand-up show presented by Off the Kerb Productions, and it marks 40 years in stand-up for Dee.
There's something specific about the way this one is put together. Rather than a new hour of material, Dee is taking the audience through a memoir of his favourite old stories. He's assembled the best of them to form a show that offers a glimpse of the influences that led him into comedy and helped shape his career. And to be clear on that point: there is no new material in this set. It's a look back at the stories he's most fond of, rather than a new run of jokes.
