Over-18s Halloween night of Latin music with two rooms of reggaeton, dembow, salsa, bachata, merengue and cumbia.
Favela brings an international Halloween party to The Rainbow in Digbeth on Friday 30 October, running from 23:00 until 04:00. It's billed as a celebration of Latin music, energy and culture in the heart of the city, and it splits across two rooms. One is for reggaeton, dembow, Latin hits and baile funk; the other for salsa, bachata, merengue and cumbia. If you've been to previous Birmingham editions, the organisers say you already know what to expect.
Having the night split like that means you can drift between the two rooms depending on your mood. One side leans into the heavier, bass-driven sounds of reggaeton and baile funk, while the other stays with the more traditional dance rhythms of salsa and bachata. It's a fair bit of ground to cover under one roof, so you can spend as much time as you like in either.
