GOTG Solo Mosaic Workshop

Girls On The Go are hosting a solo mosaic workshop at Siya Garden in Birmingham on Thursday 29 October. It's a girl-only session, so the room will be filled with women rather than a mixed crowd.

The workshop is run by Girls On The Go, a girl-only social and wellness community that describes its mission as making the UK a less lonely place for women. They run a wide range of weekly sessions across the country — creative painting workshops, book clubs, running clubs, yoga and pilates classes, and the UK's largest girl-only bingo, alongside socials and balls. The sessions take place in accessible, affordable spaces where women can make friends even if they turn up alone. Since 2023, the community has grown to more than 300,000 women and has helped thousands of girls make friends.

This particular one is a solo mosaic workshop, meaning you'll be working on your own piece rather than collaborating on a larger project. You'll spend the session cutting and arranging small tiles or glass to build your own mosaic, and because it's a solo workshop, you can take your time with it at your own pace. It's one of the creative workshops they run, alongside things like painting, so if you're more into making things than the fitness side of their programme, this is where you'll fit in.

It's a girl-only event, and you're welcome to come on your own — that's a big part of how the community works, so you don't need to bring a friend to feel at home. The workshop takes place at Siya Garden in Birmingham on Thursday 29 October.
