Halloween fancy dress social night for young professionals in their 20s, 30s and 40s, run by GetSocial Birmingham.
GetSocial Birmingham are hosting a Halloween fancy dress meet-up at BOX Brindleyplace on Saturday 31 October, starting at 19:00. The upstairs of the venue is booked out privately for the occasion, so it's a dedicated space rather than just a few tables in a busy bar.
GetSocial is a social group for young professionals in their 20s, 30s and 40s looking to expand their social circle or meet like-minded people in a relaxed, inclusive space. The organisers make a point of mentioning that over half the guests arrive solo and many are attending their first GetSocial event, so you don't need to bring a group with you. They're also clear that this isn't a dating night: interactions are expected to be friendly, respectful and platonic.
This fancy dress night is one of many outings the group puts together beyond the drinks social. Their programme covers a fair bit of ground, with game nights, women-only events, walks and hikes, comedy and craft nights, and fitness and wellbeing sessions. On the night, your ticket includes a welcome drink. There's an early bird price of £4, a standard ticket for £6, and it's £8 on the door, so booking ahead saves you a few pounds.
