Free introductory financial workshop on the difference between saving and investing, presented by AND Capital Projects as part of Building Financial Futures 2026.
From Saving to Investing: Make Your Money Work Harder runs at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre on Monday 2 November, from 11:50 am to 12:30 pm. It's a 40-minute workshop delivered by AND Capital Projects Limited (ANDCP), and it sits inside the Personal Wealth & Financial Planning Zone.
The session is part of Building Financial Futures 2026, a full-day event that brings together individuals, families, business owners, financial professionals and community organisations to look at financial resilience, wealth, careers, property, business ownership and long-term financial planning. ANDCP runs this particular workshop in partnership with Birmingham City Council and the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS).
It's an introductory session for anyone thinking about moving from simply saving to investing. Over the 40 minutes, they'll go through the difference between the two, the relationship between risk and return, and the idea of diversification. They also cover the common mistakes new investors make, so you can see where people often trip up before you dive in yourself. You don't need any previous investment experience or specialist financial knowledge to get something out of it.
