Faye is playing an acoustic set at The Actress & Bishop on Friday 23 October, in the Jewellery Quarter. It's a stripped-back night, just Faye on the bill, and it's a free one, so it's an easy way to spend a Friday evening if you're around the city.

Being an acoustic session, it's Faye in the most direct way: no full band, no big production, just the songs and the voice. That's the whole of it, really. If you've heard the work before, this is the closest you'll get to the songs as they started, before they were built up. If you haven't, it's a good place to start, with nothing to distract from the writing.

The set runs from 8:00 pm to 10:30 pm, so it's a proper length of a night rather than a short slot. It's a free entry, and it's held at The Actress & Bishop in the Jewellery Quarter, so you'll be right in the heart of that part of Birmingham. If you're coming from elsewhere in the city, it's an easy enough spot to find.
