Electronic music night at BPM Cafe with Jess Brett, the string duo Minimums, local artist Naomi Dawes and Tekno Driver.
Jess Brett returns to BPM Cafe on Friday 23 October, leading a four-act bill that runs from 7:30pm to 11pm. She brings a synth-pop sound that draws on new wave and post-punk, so if you're into the melodic, synth-driven side of things, she's the one to watch. The night is hosted by Shades Music, based at 214-218 Alcester Road in Moseley.
She's joined on stage by the duo Minimums, whose sound is built around sweeping strings, and by local artist Naomi Dawes, who describes her music as ethereal electronic indie soul with a dash of hip-hop. The night closes with Tekno Driver bringing lively beats to see it through to the end. Between the synth-pop, the strings, the indie soul, and the beats, the bill covers a fair bit of ground within one evening.
