Duran Duran return to the arena with their first full UK tour in three years, with special guests Pigeon.
Duran Duran are back at Utilita Arena Birmingham on Tuesday 20 October, their first full UK arena tour in three years. It's a homecoming of sorts — the band formed here in Birmingham, and they've since sold well over 100 million records worldwide. The line-up remains the same as it's been for decades: Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor and Roger Taylor. They're Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees, known for pioneering the synth-pop sound and for songs like 'Rio', 'Hungry Like the Wolf', 'Girls on Film' and 'Ordinary World'.
There's new material to hear, too. Their 2023 album Danse Macabre became their tenth UK Top 5 record, so it's a good time to catch them live. Support comes from Pigeon, a psychedelic five-piece from Margate whose debut album OUTTANATIONAL they describe as a collection of party songs without limits. Between the two, you've got a synth-pop institution and a newer, psychedelic outfit on the same bill.
