Musical version of the film, with 35 hit songs, at The Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham.
Dirty Dancing is coming to The Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham for two dates: Tuesday 19 January and Saturday 23 January 2027. It's the stage version of the story most of us know from the film, and it's been touring the UK for years.
The story is set in the summer of 1963. Seventeen-year-old Frances 'Baby' Houseman is on holiday in New York's Catskill Mountains with her older sister and parents. During an all-night dance party, she wanders into the staff quarters and finds a different kind of entertainment than what's on the main floor. From there, she ends up becoming Johnny Castle's leading lady.
It's a musical, so the songs take centre stage. The show works its way through 35 hit songs, including 'Hungry Eyes', 'Hey! Baby', 'Do You Love Me?' and '(I've Had) The Time Of My Life'. If you've seen the film, those are the ones you'll recognise.
