Sound healing session with Tibetan singing bowls and other healing instruments to reduce stress and help the body and mind rebalance.
Debbie @ Earth Monkey Sounds is hosting a sound bath at Cambridge Road Methodist Church on Sunday 13 December, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm, with doors opening at 6:15pm. It's a ninety-minute session built around Tibetan singing bowls and other healing instruments, and the whole thing is framed as a space to rest.
Debbie describes the practice as an ancient, holistic, and complementary therapy that can reduce stress and anxiety and help the body and mind rebalance. The session is presented as a grounding, restorative hour and a half for anyone looking to rest deeply, clear the mind and reset. If you've never been to a sound bath, the basic idea is that you lie down and let the vibrations of the bowls and other instruments do the work, rather than having to focus or follow a specific meditation.
There are a few practical things to keep in mind before you head over. You'll need to bring your own mat, cushion and blanket to stay warm and comfortable, as you'll be lying still for the duration. Refreshments are provided, including vegan and gluten-free options, so you've got something to drink and snack on. There's also free parking available at the venue, which makes getting to Moseley a bit easier.
