An evening of darkwave, post-punk and dark electronic music featuring Vedawave, Lord Gen'o and Trianglecuts at The Sunflower Lounge.
Darkest Party returns to The Sunflower Lounge on Sunday 1 November, with Vedawave, Lord Gen'o and Trianglecuts on the bill. It's a night devoted to darkwave, post-punk and dark electronic sounds, held in the heart of Birmingham at the lounge on Smallbrook Queensway.
If you're not familiar with the name, Darkest Party is the umbrella for the whole evening rather than a single act. It's a club night built around a specific sound: the moody, bass-heavy territory where post-punk meets darkwave and electronic music. The three names on the bill — Vedawave, Lord Gen'o and Trianglecuts — are the acts taking the stage for this edition.
The venue is The Sunflower Lounge, at 76 Smallbrook Queensway, B5 4EG, right in the city centre. It's a spot that's hosted plenty of nights like this, and having it so central makes it an easy one to get to on a Sunday evening. The music runs from 19:00 to 23:00, so it's a four-hour stretch of darkwave and post-punk rather than a short set.
