Courteeners arena tour celebrating their 20-year career, with special guests The Lathums & The Guestlist.
Courteeners play Utilita Arena Birmingham on Saturday 21 November, part of an arena tour marking twenty years since their first gig. It's a big room for them, and the set is built around that two-decade stretch. Frontman Liam Fray says the timing felt right for a Best Of, and the tour follows God Bless The Band, the very best of Courteeners, a career-spanning compilation that pulls from the whole run.
They've come a long way from where they started. Since St. Jude came out in 2008, the Manchester outfit has grown into one of Britain's biggest bands, with over a million UK album sales and their last four albums all hitting the Top 5. St. Jude itself eventually reached Number 1, fifteen years after it first dropped. Along with the older songs, they're touring the new single, 'The Luckiest Man Alive', so there's something fresh in the mix alongside the career retrospective.
They aren't the only ones on the bill. The Lathums and The Guestlist are both on as special guests, so it's a full night of music rather than just the headliners. It's a proper arena show, and the scale of it fits the twenty-year mark they're celebrating.
