Canvas & Cocktails - Spooky Takeover

Canvas & Cocktails returns to Birdies Bar on Sunday 25 October, this time as a Spooky Takeover edition. It's a sip-and-paint night in the Digbeth end of town, and the whole thing is built around creativity, connection and a little bit of chaos: you paint along at your own pace while you drink, with no prior painting experience needed. The Spooky Takeover name leans into the season, and the room is open to friends, dates, family or coming along solo.

What sets this one apart from a quiet afternoon in a studio is the music. There are live DJs on the night playing a mix of RnB, Reggae, Dancehall, Afrobeats, Amapiano and more, so the room stays lively while you work. It's more of a social thing than a formal class, and you're encouraged to take your time with the canvas rather than rushing to finish.

Your ticket covers the essentials: entry, your canvas, paints, brushes and an apron to keep things tidy. Drinks and food aren't included, but you can pick them up at the bar as you go. The session starts at 17:00 at Birdies Bar, in The Custard Factory on Gibb Street, Digbeth, Birmingham, B9 4AA. Tickets are £30.
