Halloween rave with techno headliner Lil Jeffrey, four live acts and DJs, plus costume prizes.
Suki10c hosts the Birmingham Halloween Rave Party on Friday 30 October, the second year the GMG Halloween Rave has come back to the city. Last year's edition was billed by the promoters as 'crazy', and this one follows the same high-energy, eclectic approach. It's not a single-genre night; the music pulls from rage rap, hyperpop, horror, underground rap, happy hardcore, hardcore, hardstyle and nightcore, so you'll hear a lot of different sounds on one dancefloor. The best costumes walk away with prizes, so it's the kind of night where dressing up is part of the draw.
Lil Jeffrey takes the techno slot, and he's joined by four live acts and DJs who'll keep things going all night. The live acts mean there's more than just DJs on the bill, and the whole thing runs through until Saturday 31 October, so it's a long one that carries over into the early hours. The mix of styles—from the heavy, fast beats of hardstyle and happy hardcore to the more melodic, high-pitched sounds of nightcore and hyperpop—means the energy shifts throughout the night rather than sticking to one tempo.
