Christmas bingo rave with stage battles, ridiculous rounds and prizes, driven by live DJs and two elderly ladies on stage.
Bingo Lingo are bringing their Christmas special, Deck the Balls, to Luna Springs Digbeth on Friday 4 December. It's their festive take on the usual night, which takes the traditional game of bingo and gives it a high-energy twist set in a fast-paced club environment. The whole thing runs on stage battles, ridiculous rounds and weird and wonderful prizes, all driven by live DJs and two elderly ladies on stage. The organisers describe it as the UK's wildest bingo rave.
If you've never been, it's not your usual quiet night with a dabber and a cup of tea. It's built more like a club night than a bingo hall, with the music and the crowd as much a part of it as the game itself. The two elderly ladies on stage call the shots, and the prizes tend to be as odd as the rounds they set up. Between the bingo, there are stage battles and the kind of high-energy chaos that puts it closer to a rave than a community centre hall.

Luna Springs Digbeth is in the heart of Digbeth, over on Lower Trinity Street, so it's easy to get to if you're already around the area. Doors open at 6:00pm and the night runs until 11:00pm, with last entry at 8:00pm, so you'll want to be in well before then if you're planning on playing. Tickets start from £15.67, and with the 4 December date falling on a Friday, it's a straightforward one to build a night around.
