Daytime indie party for over 30s with Old School Indie DJs spinning indie classics across the decades at O'Neill's Broad Street.
Afternoon of Indie returns to O'Neill's Broad Street on Saturday 7 November, running from 3pm to 7pm. It's run by Old School Indie, who bill it as the UK's biggest indie party for the over 30s. They've held several sold-out shows in Birmingham before, and this is one of their events across 17 cities.
The format is a daytime special that closes at 7pm, with a strict over-30s door policy and ID required on entry. The DJs spin indie classics across the decades, taking in 70s punk, 80s new wave, 90s Britpop and early 2000s indie, alongside rock 'n' roll, northern soul and ska. The playlist draws on a wide range of names: Bowie, Pulp, The Clash, The Jam, The Cure, Joy Division, The Stone Roses, The Smiths and New Order, through to The Strokes, Franz Ferdinand, Nirvana, The Kinks, Radiohead, Suede and The Beatles. This time around, the line-up includes Feeling Gloomy and Age Against The Machine.
