The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed Up Zombies

Joe Greene and Stuart Watson are taking over The Black Box on Saturday 4 December, starting at 5pm. The night goes by the long title The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed Up Zombies, and the two of them are on DJ duties, playing after-work tunes. It's a DJ set, so that's what you're getting: a few hours of records rather than a live band.

The night is part of the venue's originals programme, and that's a bit of context that helps place it. The Black Box has been one of Belfast's most beloved venues since 2006, and the originals programme is where it keeps its own bookings and homegrown nights. This is one of those, rather than a touring act passing through.

As for the music, Greene and Watson are the two names on the bill, and they're sharing the decks for the set. The description keeps it simple — after-work tunes — so it's the kind of thing that works just as well if you're stopping in on your way home from the office as it does if you're just heading out for the evening. It starts at 5pm, which puts it right in that transition from the working day into the night.

It's free to get in, so there's no ticket to sort in advance. That makes it an easy one to decide on the day: Saturday 4 December at The Black Box, starting at 5pm.
