The UK & Ireland tour of the musical Singin' in the Rain, with Karen Hauer as Lina Lamont, for five nights at the Grand Opera House.
Singin' in the Rain comes to the Grand Opera House for five nights from Tuesday 16 to Saturday 20 February 2027. It's the stage version of the MGM story, with the silent-screen royalty, the microphone mishap and the chorus girl who can actually sing, all turned on their heads when 'talkies' start to replace silent movies.
The MGM score is right there, with 'Good Morning', 'Make 'em Laugh' and the title number. The choreography is high-energy, and the set designs pour more than 14,000 litres of water onto the stage for the rain sequence. The book draws on Betty Comden and Adolph Green's screenplay, with songs by Nacio Herb Brown and Arthur Freed. Jonathan Church directs, and Andrew Wright handles the choreography.
On stage, Karen Hauer takes on Lina Lamont, with Grant Almirall as Don Lockwood, Nicole-Lily Baisden as Kathy Selden, Matthew Maddison as Cosmo Brown and Wendi Peters as Dora Bailey. It's a production that ran in the West End and across the world before this UK and Ireland tour, which opened at Sheffield's Crucible in November 2026.
