A concert celebrating a lifetime in Irish country music with Philomena Begley and special guests Mike Denver, Ray Lynam, Sandy Kelly and Aidan Quinn.
Philomena Begley plays the Grand Opera House on Monday 10 May 2027, with the show starting at 7:30pm. It's a night built around her career in Irish country music, and she's not doing it alone — she's bringing along Mike Denver, Ray Lynam, Sandy Kelly and Aidan Quinn, each taking their own turn on stage with their own songs.
Begley is known as the 'Queen of Irish Country', a name that fits when you look at the numbers: she's spent more than six decades at the heart of the genre. The evening pairs her hits and stories from a lifetime in music with that supporting cast, so the songs she's known for sit alongside the sets the guests bring to the stage. It's a long one, too — three hours including an interval, which gives the whole thing plenty of room to breathe rather than rushing through the line-up.
