Donegal blues guitarist Muireann Bradley plays the Oh Yeah Music Centre with her Blackwood Pew EP on the Blackwood Pew Tour.
Muireann Bradley plays the Oh Yeah Music Centre on Sunday 14 February 2027, part of her Blackwood Pew tour. It's a Valentine's night show, and the set is built around the new Blackwood Pew EP, released on Fontana Records/Verve Forecast. The record mixes her own compositions with ragtime blues, American old-time, country and Irish traditional music, with contributions from producer Declan Gaffney and Ella Walker, who records as Wildes.
Bradley is a 19-year-old blues guitarist from County Donegal who picked up the instrument at nine, following her father's love of the blues. Her debut album, I Kept These Old Blues, was recorded between lockdowns when she was just 14 and became a collector's item, with the first pressing selling out everywhere. It leaned on masterful covers of blues figures like Blind Blake, Rev Gary Davis and Mississippi John Hurt, and her intricate fingerstyle playing has earned her acclaim across the Atlantic and the notice of Jools Holland, who invited her to perform on the Hootenanny.
