A tribute show recreating the hits of Dire Straits, from 'Sultans of Swing' to 'Brothers in Arms'.
Money for Nothing comes to the Grand Opera House on Tuesday 20 April 2027, a Dire Straits tribute that pays meticulous attention to every detail to faithfully recreate the band's distinct sound. It draws on the group's six platinum albums, and the set leans on that songbook with soaring guitar solos and instantly recognisable riffs carrying classics such as 'Money for Nothing', 'Romeo and Juliet', 'Sultans of Swing', 'Private Investigations', 'Walk of Life', 'Brothers in Arms' and 'So Far Away'.
To give you a sense of the ground they're covering, Dire Straits sold more than 120 million albums across their career and spent over a thousand weeks on the UK charts, ranking fifth all-time. This show works its way through that catalogue, with the guitar work taking centre stage.
