Free monthly journaling meet-up led by Ian Megrath, with the theme Wonder, as part of the first Thursday of the month Late Night Art.
Ian Megrath is leading a journaling session at Cafe Husk at The Crescent on Thursday 3 December, from 18:30 to 20:30. It's part of Late Night Art, the monthly celebration of Belfast's visual arts scene that sees galleries across the city open their doors on the first Thursday of every month. The night has been running for over ten years, so it's a well-established part of the local calendar.
This particular session centres on the theme of Wonder. Megrath is an avid journal keeper and an analogue enthusiast who first turned to journaling during lockdown, when he found it worked as a creative outlet and a tool for mental health. He shares his practice on Instagram at @the.paper.sparrow, and this session is an extension of that interest, bringing people together to write and reflect in company.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Belfast and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

There's no pre-booking needed, so you can just turn up on the night. All you need to bring is your own notebook; Megrath provides all the other materials, and there's room for about 14 people to journal at once, which keeps it a small, focused group rather than a large crowd. It's free to attend, and it runs from 18:30 to 20:30 on Thursday 3 December at Cafe Husk at The Crescent.
