Irish singer-songwriter Keith Harkin, former lead singer of Celtic Thunder, plays The SSE Arena in Belfast, opening for Westlife on their 25th Anniversary World Tour.
Keith Harkin is playing The SSE Arena on Tuesday 27 October, supporting Westlife on their 25th Anniversary World Tour. It's a homecoming of sorts: Harkin is a Derry City singer-songwriter, now based in Los Angeles, and this is one of the nights he'll be opening for the boys on their anniversary run.
If you're coming for Westlife, you'll get Harkin as the warm-up, but there's plenty to him on his own. He's spent the last fifteen years performing across the world: for President Obama at the White House, Sir Richard Branson on Necker Island, the Secretary of State at the Pentagon, Mohamed Ali at Celebrity Fight Night, and the Boston Celtics at The Garden. He caught the attention of Grammy-winning producer David Foster, who signed him as the first artist to the new Verve Records; his first solo album with Foster and Verve reached number one on the Billboard charts in Canada and the US.
Before the solo career, he was the lead singer of the Irish sensation Celtic Thunder, which scored more than fifteen number-one records worldwide and over a million CDs in sales, along with numerous PBS specials. Since then, he's written all the material for his solo records, and all four of his solo albums have ranked in the top ten charts in both Canada and the US.

So, it's a bit of a Derry-to-LA-and-back story. He'll be taking the stage at The SSE Arena (2 Queens Quay, Belfast) on Tuesday 27 October, with the show starting at 6:30 PM.
