Katherine Jenkins OBE brings her 25 Year Anniversary Tour to the Waterfront Hall in Belfast, with special guest Jodok on cello.
Katherine Jenkins is playing the Waterfront Hall on Tuesday 27 October, as part of her 25 Year Anniversary Tour. She'll be joined on stage by special guest Jodok on cello, so it's not just her voice carrying the night.
If you're not familiar with the name, Jenkins is one of the UK's biggest-selling classical crossover artists, known for her mezzo-soprano voice and a stage presence that's as much about the performance as the singing. Born in Neath, Wales, in 1980, she won the St Cecilia Award and a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music, which she graduated from with honours. Her debut album, Premiere, came out in 2004 and became the fastest-selling classical album of all time by a UK artist. Since then, she's sold over four million albums, picked up two Classic BRIT Awards, and was named by Classic FM as the best-selling classical artist of the past 25 years.
Her career has taken her well beyond the recording studio. She's sung for King Charles III and Pope John Paul II, and has performed at the Sydney and Dubai Opera Houses, the Mariinsky Theatre, and the Royal Albert Hall. In 2014 she was appointed OBE. More recently, in 2023, she recorded the first performance of God Save the King for King Charles III and became Lady Sponsor of HMS Cardiff, the newest Royal Navy warship. This Belfast date is part of the tour marking 25 years since she first stepped into the public eye.
