The West End rock musical about the last days of Jesus Christ, with Sam Ryder as Jesus, at the Grand Opera House.
Jesus Christ Superstar comes to the Grand Opera House for a two-week run from Tuesday 15 June to Saturday 26 June 2027. It's the record-breaking West End production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's rock musical, which follows the final days of Jesus as seen through the eyes of Judas. The score is the thing most people recognise, with 'I Don't Know How to Love Him', 'Gethsemane' and the title track 'Superstar' all in there.
Sam Ryder takes the role of Jesus, though he doesn't perform in the matinees on Wednesday 16 and Thursday 24 June. The production is directed by Tim Sheader, with choreography by Drew McOnie and design by Tom Scutt. It's recommended for ages 12 and above, and the Belfast run includes a captioned performance on Wednesday 23 June and a signed performance on Thursday 24 June, both at 7:30pm.
