Free Halloween night market with street food, independent stalls and DJs in Writers' Square, Cathedral Quarter.
The Halloween Night Market takes over Writers' Square in the Cathedral Quarter on Friday 30 October, from 5pm to 10pm. It's a one-night street market that brings together street food, independent stalls and DJs, all set up in the square for the evening.
If you're heading in for the food, there'll be street food stalls running throughout the night, so you can eat as you wander. Alongside them, independent stalls will be out with their own things to browse, and DJs will be providing the soundtrack across the square. It's the kind of evening that works just as well as a quick stop for a bite as it does a proper night out with friends, and since it's in the Cathedral Quarter, there are plenty of other spots nearby to drift into before or after.

It's free to enter, so you can just turn up whenever suits you between 5pm and 10pm. If you're planning to make a night of it, the early start gives you plenty of time to get through the stalls before the later crowd arrives. It runs on Friday 30 October, from 5pm to 10pm at Writers' Square, and entry is free.
