The 2027 UK & Ireland tour of Grease the Musical, with Debbie McGee as Miss Lynch, at the Grand Opera House.
Grease The Musical comes to the Grand Opera House from Tuesday 8 June to Saturday 12 June 2027, as part of its UK and Ireland tour. It's a short run — five days in total — so you'll want to pick your night early rather than leaving it to the last minute.
This production is directed by Nikolai Foster, the Artistic Director of Curve, and it's fronted by a fresh young cast. The one name you'll recognise is Debbie McGee, who takes on the role of Miss Lynch. The show is billed as the world's best-loved musical, and this version is described as grittier and more glamorous than ever before.
The score leans on the show's most famous hits, the ones that usually end up being sung along to in the car. You'll hear 'Summer Nights', 'Greased Lightnin'', 'Hopelessly Devoted to You' and 'You're the One That I Want' — the big numbers that most people know even if they've never seen the show live. With a young cast leading the way, it's a production built around those songs.
