Drag Extravaganza

JUMPSCARE is taking over The Tipsy Bird this Saturday, 17 October, for a drag extravaganza themed around spooks and scares. It's a night of drag with a Halloween twist, so if you're already in the mood for something a bit eerie, this is a good place to start the season.

For those who haven't been, The Tipsy Bird is a quirky bar in Belfast city centre run by a team of expert mixologists. They're well known for their stone-baked pizzas made from fresh Italian ingredients, and they're one of the few spots in the city serving bottomless brunch on a Friday. On the weekend, that daytime offering gets a sassy makeover in the form of a drag brunch extravaganza, complete with cocktails, charcuterie boards and plenty of entertainment, including the venue's fabulous Drag Bingo. The shows tend to sell out well in advance, so it's worth getting your tickets sorted early.

Beyond the brunch, the bar works as a party venue too. There's a first-floor 'birdcage' bar and a roof terrace with its own separate bar area, with a capacity for private hire of up to 350 people. The Birdcage stage also hosts a regular line-up of local musicians and DJs on the weekends, so there's usually something going on across the different floors.
