Touring stage show from London's Natural History Museum that brings life-like dinosaurs to the stage for a prehistoric journey through the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods.
Dinosaurs Live! comes to the Grand Opera House on Friday 23 July and Saturday 24 July 2027, and it's a bit of a milestone for the Natural History Museum. Since 1881, the museum in London has been known as the home of dinosaurs, but this is the first time they've taken the show on tour. They've teamed up with Mark Thompson Productions to turn that fascination into a stage show, so instead of you going to the museum, the museum is coming to Belfast.
The production takes you on a prehistoric journey through the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods, with life-like dinosaurs brought to life on stage. It's not just the creatures, though; they weave in facts about fossils, time scales and how the planet has changed over hundreds of millions of years, so there's a good bit of the museum's actual work in there. It runs for one hour with no interval, which makes it an easy one to fit in around a day out.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Belfast and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

It's recommended for ages 3 and over, so it's well within the range for families with young ones. If you've got kids who spend their time talking about T-rex and Triceratops, this is exactly the kind of thing they'll get a kick out of. The two dates are Friday 23 July and Saturday 24 July at the Grand Opera House, 17 Great Victoria Street, Belfast, BT2 7AD. Tickets are £21.00 to £19.50, which includes the maximum applicable per-ticket booking fee.
