Dublin singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy headlines Ormeau Park as part of Belsonic 2027.
Dermot Kennedy headlines Ormeau Park on Saturday 26 June 2027, as part of Belsonic. The Dublin singer-songwriter has been on his own since September 2014, and he's built a sound that sits between stripped-back and explosive, held together by emotive, soaring vocals and R&B-influenced percussion.
His debut EP, Doves & Ravens, came out in 2017 and gave us tracks like 'Power Over Me' and 'Outnumbered'. His first full album, Without Fear, followed in 2019, blending pop and folk in a way that earned him a BBC Music Award. Since then, his songs have gathered more than 4 billion plays across streaming platforms as of 2025, and his poetic, authentic approach has won praise from artists like Taylor Swift and Shawn Mendes.
Kennedy's work tends to lean on that contrast between the quiet and the loud — the intimate, stripped-back moments and the bigger, more explosive ones — and the Belfast date is part of Belsonic 2027. It's a long way from those first EPs, but the core of it — the vocals and the R&B-inflected percussion — is still there.
