Peter Corry's festive concert with guests Niamh Noade and Jennifer Tierney, plus the BSPA Voices choir, in St Anne's Cathedral.
Peter Corry returns to St Anne's Cathedral this December for Christmas at the Cathedral, a show that's now in its 17th year. It's become a bit of a fixture on the Belfast calendar, and this time around he's bringing along guests Niamh Noade and Jennifer Tierney, with the BSPA Voices choir adding the choral weight.
The set pairs festive favourites with contemporary music, musical theatre and a few unexpected arrangements, so it's not just the usual carols. There's a candlelit carol procession as part of the evening, and an interval refreshment to break things up. Corry describes the show as being about celebrating the season together in the cathedral's most beautiful setting, and says the acoustics create an atmosphere you can't replicate anywhere else.
Corry is a Belfast native whose career has spanned more than 30 years across singing, acting, presenting, producing and directing, so he's a familiar face around here. He's the one steering the ship on this, and the guests and choir round him out the bill.
