Foot-stomping tribute show to Johnny Cash and June Carter, with JP Mac and Karen Lyttle, on the Still Goin' to Jackson Tour 2027.
Cash Returns comes to the Grand Opera House on Saturday 20 March 2027, as part of the Still Goin' to Jackson Tour 2027. It's a tribute to Johnny Cash and June Carter, the king and queen of country, and the show was put together to mark the 60th anniversary of one of their biggest hits, Jackson.
Rather than just a run of songs, it follows their story. It starts with when they first met backstage at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville in 1956, works through their career together, and ends with their final appearance in the Hurt music video. Along the way, you'll hear the favourites: Jackson, Ring Of Fire, I Walk The Line and Folsom Prison Blues.
On stage, JP Mac takes on the Man In Black, with Karen Lyttle as June Carter and The Carter Sisters on vocals. JP Mac is an award-winning Johnny Cash act, and the show has picked up Best Tribute Band at the Hot Country TV Awards. It's billed as the greatest Johnny Cash and June Carter tribute in the UK, Ireland and beyond, and is regarded as one of the best touring live music shows in the country.
