A joyful gospel concert led by Dr. Marie Lacey MBE, with powerful anthems and harmonies for all ages.
The Belfast Community Gospel Choir are back at the Grand Opera House on Sunday 16 May 2027, with a show they've called Spring Joy. It's their return to the venue, led by Dr Marie Lacey MBE, and they describe it as a joyful celebration of music, hope and community.
The programme is built around gospel anthems, uplifting melodies and heartwarming harmonies, and they've described the whole thing as bursting with energy, colour and soul. It's a full evening's worth of singing: the performance runs for two hours and twenty minutes, including an interval, and it's recommended for audiences of all ages, so it's as much a family outing as a night out with friends.
If you're planning to make an evening of it, the venue has a Deli Platter for Two available before the show — a charcuterie or cheese platter served with a drink in the Theatre's Upper Circle Bar. It's a good way to settle in before the choir takes the stage.
